OOC: Here it is. Good Luck!

“A New Beginning.”

Scene One.

It was 8 in the morning and it was rather quite in the Harris home, however that didn’t last long. All of the sudden the door to the master bedroom burst open and in came running three year old, Jayden Harris whom happen to be the son of wrestling legend Michael Harris. He made a mad dash for the bed in which his father and his soon to be step mother were sound asleep in. He leaped up on the bed right onto his father’s chest. Both Harris and his fiancé Rielle woke up with a startle wondering what the hell was going on but that was soon laid to rest when they heard the giggling of Jayden. Harris laid his head back down as Jayden straddled his lap and started poking his father in the chest.

Jayden Harris: “Come on! Get up!”

Michael Harris: “I don’t want to kid.”

Jayden Harris: “GET UP!”

He started jumping up and down on his fathers chest to the point that he actually knocked the wind out Harris. This is when Rielle decided to interject herself in the situation. Last thing she wanted was Harris getting irritated so early in the morning. Once that happened he’d be a dick all day long and this was the last full day they would get to spend with each other. Early in the morning tomorrow he would be flying out to begin working for DWA. She pushed the covers off her body and picked up the rather hyper three year old.

Rielle Winterborn: “Come on kiddo. Let’s go get breakfast. Give your old man time to fully wake up and get going for the day.”

With that being said she walked on out of their bedroom with Jayden who started telling her some story about the boogey man. The kid had one hell of an active imagination for a three year old. Harris just rolled over on his stomach and attempted to go back to sleep. However it seemed that just wasn’t in the cards for today. No sooner than he started drifting off to sleep. His cell phone began playing “Run This Town.” which was none other than his best friend calling him. He rolled over grabbing the phone from off the bed side table. He flipped it open and held it up to his ear.

Michael Harris: “Yeah?” “Was trying to go back to sleep. What do you need?” “I don’t know anything about what’s going down over there dude. I was going to fly out in the morning and just find out then. It cant be all that different than anyone else we’ve ever been.” “Open title matches?” “I’m down for the tag team title match but that’s not the only one I’m down for. If there’s a chance for me to make history by becoming the first ever World Heavyweight Champion. In a new company, you know damn well I’m going to take it.” “Nah I don’t believe I have enough World Championships. I’ve only got fifteen and you know for years now my goal has been to become a twenty time World Champion. I’ll be damned if I’m going to pass up an opportunity like this.” “What do you mean what if you enter too? It’s quite simple here bro. you should know by now that when I want to be World Champion. I will stop at nothing and that even includes bulldozing right through friends. If you enter the match, best of luck to you but remember it’s every man for themselves and I will do what I need to do in order to win. Got it?” “Alright and as far as what I’m doing today. I’m spending time with the family. It’s my last day with them until I fly back home.” “Sounds good. I’ll see you at the airport in the morning.”

Harris then flipped his phone shut and held it in his hand as he let out a big yawn. It was the typical behavior for Phoenix to call. The two were close, best friends, and soon to be brothers by marriage. They had a bond that couldn’t be broken unless they themselves broke it which they had many times when they had beaten the shit out of each other over world championships or just for the sake of beating the hell out of each other. Those days were long past now but Harris had to face the reality that Phoenix might insert himself into the world title match. Not only that but he also had to focus on the fact they were going to be partners before possible enemies. It was definitely going to be a odd situation but that’s Chi-Town’s Finest for you. He forced the covers up off his body and got up out of bed stretching real wide like. Before heading towards the bathroom. It was going to be one hell of a day and tomorrow would be the official start to a new beginning in the career of Michael Harris.

“The Harris Era Reborn.”

Scene Two.

Earlier this morning Michael Harris and Phoenix Winterborn flew into the Tampa Bay area to meet up with the bosses of DWA and the check out the venue they were going to be competing in on Start of Destruction show. The show was going to take place on the thirtieth of this month. It gave them basically ten days to do whatever they wanted in Tampa. Now to some people it was completely pointless for them to stay in Tampa that long with the show so far away but not to them. See these two were perfectionist in a sense. The two were show up at shows early and leave late. Just because that’s how dedicated to the business they were. In their case this time, it was a brand new company and they wanted to see what they would be dealing with throughout the week which meant meeting the stars on the roster, doing research on opponents, getting themselves prepared for the matches they were set on competing in, and so forth. It’s how they worked and chances are it would never change with them. Now after the two had enjoyed the day chilling and getting some work done. They had gone their separate ways for the evening. This is why when the scene opened up, Michael Harris was shown alone standing right in front of the Tampa Sports Arena. He looked at the cameras with the evil grin that only he himself could display. As the wind blew lightly through his long dirty blonde hair. He began addressing his new home, DWA as a whole.

Michael Harris: “For over ten years. I’ve been the man to single handily change the face of this industry. I’ve been the man that’s been in more main events than anyone can count. I’ve been the man that’s sold out arenas all over the world. I’ve been the man that had his face plastered on every billboard that featured a pro wrestling program. I’ve pretty much done everything there is to do in this business three times or more. For the lack of a better term… you can say I’ve been the man that every single person that enters this business wants to be.” He looked at the cameras in silence for a moment or two. “But in all that time there hasn’t been a single person to ever step up enough to take my place. Sure I’ve been beaten. Everyone loses. What does that prove? It proves nothing when you cant follow up on it. It proves nothing when your still the jerk in the curtain. It proves nothing when you don’t get anywhere as far as your career as I’ve gotten with mine. And I don’t base this off just one incident. Oh no, I’ve competed everywhere. From The Domain to Blood Bath Wrestling. And not one sole has been able to do the job of taking my place. Yet people still ask me the question why wont I give up the spot light? How hard is it for you people to understand. I didn’t get where I am today in this business because people handed me shit or because people stepped out of the spotlight to let me shine. I had to bust my ass off for everything I ever wanted in this business. There were no short cuts or anything. I did it all myself.”

Now those who would be watching this promo at this point would be easily confused as to where he was going with all of this. It seemed he was doing nothing but rambling on about how great he was. That happened in almost every promo you seen now days. So it was nothing special and it was nothing unique. It wasn’t going to be something that would set him apart from all the others that would enter to be apart of this match. However those who knew Harris knew that he had a point to everything he ever said. It was coming very soon in fact.

Michael Harris: “And now here I stand before all of you at the Tampa Sports Arena where on January thirtieth a brand spanking new company known as Destruction Wrestling Association will hold their first show called the Start of Destruction. On this night, there are open championship matches for every single championship on the roster. Now surely you’ve gotten the idea by me standing here. If you haven’t then morons allow me to spell it out for you. I’m an official member of the roster and with that I‘m hear to state claim to at least one of the matches for that show. The World Heavyweight Championship Match!” He looked at the cameras with a sinister little grin as he knew this wouldn’t go over very well with those watching. “Now this is where that same question will come up with why wont I give others a chance to shine? Why wont I step aside? However as I explained before. No one did it for me, I had to bust my ass off. So with that being said I’m not going to do it for anyone else. In my mind and in my heart. I know without a shadow of a doubt. I’m still the best. I’m still at the top of my game and so far no one has proved other wise. That’s why I’m entering this match.” He paused for a brief moment once again. “You see with DWA on the rise. They need a champion that they can be proud of. They need a champion that will lead the company to the promise a land. They need a champion that has been around long enough to know what their doing when their on top of the mountain. Now judging by the looks of the roster, I’m the only one that has that kind of credibility and to be honest the only one that fit’s the bill.”

It was true when it was looked at from a whole. There wasn’t a single person on the roster at the moment that had fifteen world title reigns under their belt. There wasn’t a single person on the roster that had been in more main events than him. And there sure as hell wasn’t a single person on the roster that had the legendary status that he has. As much as the fans and chances are the people on the roster wanted to argue their fact. They knew they couldn’t. All the facts were there and as long as the facts were there. There was no denying anything. So far everyone was working out in Harris’ favor.

Michael Harris: “People will say that’s arrogant of me to say. People will say I’m being too egotistical. And people will say that I’m cutting the guys on the roster short. However that’s their opinions and their entitled to them. Though I wont deny that I’m an arrogant and egoistical son bitch but I have a right to be in this case. Because as I said before there’s no one on the roster that can stop me from taking what I want.” Fans were going to hate him for these comments more than usual. It seemed that he was back on his game and there was no stopping. That’s just by his words who knows what would happen come match time. “I mean think about it. Who’s going to be the one to stop me someone like Keenan Saint? I mention his name because I know how you pathetic morons think. Your going to talk a bunch of a noise about how Saint beat me back in Euphoric Entertainment and start claiming he can do it again. Little do you all fail to realize you couldn’t be anymore wrong. There’s only one reason why he beat me in that place was the crooked management. Well I cant even say crooked management as a whole. I’m going to straight shoot and put the blame on Alex Bradford. He was the most biased fucker to ever work for this business. And Saint got put over on me just because he was one of the people that Bradford consider a close friend. It was no secret that Bradford only put over his friends.” He shook his head a little bit. “It’s kind of a pathetic site because all that shit Saint talked proved to be nothing but talk. He knows damn well he didn’t beat me fairly and so does everyone else. Now that we’re under a new roof and new management. He knows it wont go down like that. Hell not to mention, Saint fears me regardless of how he acts and what he says. He knows that I’m the real deal and because he knows I’m rather pissed off about the screw job that took place in Vegas. I guarantee you that he wont even attempt to get in this match. So there goes the only hope that you fans have on getting over on me. Must suck to be you.”

His smirk got a little bit bigger. He knew that he had busted their bubble in that sense. However that really didn’t matter. Because the fans were the type to basically deny anything that was proven to them and if they couldn’t deny it. Then they would just jump on the band wagon of someone else and try to prove something yet again. Though it wouldn’t work but it would just be a continuing a process that the fans couldn’t accept the reality of Harris being better than everyone to ever enter the business. This would lead right into Harris next couple points and would tie into the next couple names he dropped.

Michael Harris: “Though it doesn’t end there does it folks? Of course not. Because that’s when all of you will jump on the band wagon of guys like Xtreme 3:16, Jamie Pierce, and Christian Michaels. All because they have been around about as long as me or the fact that their former world champions.”

He just shook his head again. It was obviously because he was disgusted but at least he knew how the fans thought and it was easy for him to counter as well as prove them wrong.

“Out of the three of them, I have only heard of one of them. That being Xtreme 3:16. Now before I did my research on this guy, only thing I knew was his name. sure I had heard some things about him but I wasn’t impressed by what I heard. In my opinion he was nothing more than some spot monkey that had a boring ass gimmick and name. but I did the fair thing and did the research on him. From what I gathered he’s a big deal in feds I’ve never heard of and he’s won a couple world championships. Was this enough to change my opinion? Was this enough to make me view him as a potential threat? Of course not. He’s still the spot money I thought he was when I first heard of him. There’s no reason for me to view him as a threat. In fact chances are if he enters this match. He’s going to end up eliminate himself by taking a risk that wasn’t needed or be to busy kissing ass to you pathetic fans to focus on what’s important which would be the belt for you slow fuckers out there. In that case, it would lead to me easily eliminating his sorry ass.”

He just shrugged his shoulders a little bit. Basically implying that Xtreme 3:16 wasn’t a big deal to him.

“Then there’s those other two guys Jamie Pierce and Christian Michaels. Of course much like I did with Xtreme 3:16, I did research to give these guys the benefit of the doubt. However there wasn’t anything that impressed me about them either and there wasn’t anything that made me view them as a threat. Sure Pierce is a big guy and has made his name known but that’s suppose to mean something to me? I’ve faced many big guys in my career but it didn’t effect me any. Because the saying holds true. The bigger they are the harder they fall but that’s only if you know what your doing like me.”

He nodded a bit with that sinister trademark smirk. It was no secret obviously about how confident he is in his abilities to go up against the big men of wrestling.

“And as far as these accomplishments of his that he has in all these feds he’s been in over his time with the business. They don’t mean shit to me. They will never mean anything to me. Why? It’s simple. I wasn’t there. I didn’t see it. So it’s not that big of a deal to me. Had I witnessed it first hand then it might have been a different story but its not now. It’s time for you people to stop relying on the past and move on with shit that actually matters. And before I move on to this Christian Michaels idiot, I just want DWA management to know its bad for business to be letting Pierce use steroids. Last thing you guys would want is a Chris Benoit situation on your hands.”

Now that’s a comment that wasn’t needed and a comment that would get a lot of heat. Not from just fans, not from just wrestlers, or management but everyone all around the industry. The man had no tact and didn’t care who he offended but that was Harris for you.

“Now as for this Christian Michaels dude. Now apparently from the research I did. He’s pretty much a big deal in W2K and ICWA. Now I’ve never been apart of either place. For the simple fact that neither place was ever worth my time. However I would like to point out there’s only one main reason Christian Michaels got ahead in ICWA. It’s a little thing called Management in his back pocket. I mean I would be world champion in a lot of feds to if the owner was my best friend. Now sure people are going to say I broke kayfabe but guess what? I don’t give a fuck. I’ve always been one to call it the way I seen it and there’s no sense in stopping now. Much like the situation with Saint, Michaels needs to understand that this isn’t ICWA or W2K for that matter. That biased bullshit isn’t going to flow around these parts and I will personally see to it that it don’t. Now with being said all of you people who are on his bandwagon will see that he’s not that big of deal once he’s outside his comfort zone. Along with all the others. What else do you guys got now? Thus far I’m proving my point. Surely that’s leaving a bitter taste in all your mouths.”

He cracked that evil little grin again. That was one hell of a shot at the fans but what else did you expect? Harris was proving right now that he wasn’t playing any games. He wasn’t going to stand back and let someone just take his place as he had been saying. Only way to prove this point was to run through every single person on the roster and make it known that if they entered this match they had no chance. While at the same time putting the fans in their places with their ideas and thoughts. He wasn’t having a problem doing so and he was having fun with it judging by his actions of the whole matter.

Michael Harris: “Now that leaves you guys with very few options left with people on the roster and that’s when you guys are going to become desperate. This is where you guys are going to start implying that the young guns of this business and this company such as Alexander King or Kyle Mitchell are going to be the ones to defeat me. I’m sure you’ll base it off the fact that their young, their hungry, their talented, and they want to be the top star of the company. It’s usually how rookies work and seeing as you fans have become desperate and have nothing else to really go off of this all makes sense.”

Again he paused for a short moment. This was becoming to easy in his opinion. If the match was as easy as it was to talk about and to counter then him becoming world champion was going to become rather easy come match time. Oh well though, its not like he would complain.

“But lets look at this reasonably shall we folks? First of all I’d like to point out that I’ve never heard of either one of these kids. Therefore it means to me that they aren’t that big of a deal but then again I never heard of many of the others and come to find out they were a big deal elsewhere. So you can guess it folks… I did the research just for the sake of once again proving all of you wrong. With the research I did my point was pretty much proven. Neither King or Mitchell have done anything to get noticed anywhere. In fact there’s really no independent records of anything they’ve done on the Indy scene.”

There he goes again busting the bubble of all the fans.

“I guarantee you that if you mentioned those two names to anyone other than myself. People would give the same response I’m giving. Who the fuck are they and why should I give a damn? Now I know that Alexander has done made claim to the World Title or in my opinion just made it known he’s going to be in the match. I seen the promo if that’s what you want to call it. It was filled with a bunch of mindless ramblings, arrogant remarks, and attempting to put his competition down. As you guys can guess it was nothing impressive to me. To be perfectly honest, I am not fond of the kid’s promo skills and I could honestly say I wouldn’t have wasted my time with watching that junk of his.”

He kind of nodded his head a bit but you could tell when he nodded his head. He was being a total smartass about it.

“I’m going to give Alexander a little bit of advice since that’s the kind of person I am. I like to give back to the next generation of wrestlers every now and then. Though this advice is going to be rough but trust me it’s going to work out in the end. What you need to do Alexander is not release another promo. You don’t have the skills to be one of those guys on the mic. Then show up for the match and just lay down to be pinned. There’s no sense in your trying to win something that’s too far out of your league. Not to mention a Main Event is only for actual Main Eventers not for kids who wish they were Main Eventers. After this match take your ass to the Hardcore Division or something of that nature. Because as long as I’m around these parts, you wont be involved with any World Championship. Cause as I pointed out you don’t have the ability. I know it’s not the type of advice you want and I know its something you don’t want to hear but there’s no sense in giving yourself or those pathetic rejects known as fans false hope.”

And yet again he continues with the smartass jokes. It’s like the only thing Harris knew how to be was a smartass. Though it wasn’t a bad thing, that was one of the many features that had made him one hell of a star within this industry. Now he knew that this wasn’t going to settle well with the fans but mostly it wouldn’t settle well with Alexander King. He would feel as if he was insulted and what not which would result in him not taking Harris’ advice and trying to come hard. Though it would just lead to him losing his ass when match time came around. wouldn’t be Harris’ fault either by any means because the way he looks at it is he done warned Alexander. It’s his fault he wont take the advice. Now as Harris stood there in silence with a smirk on his lips. There were only a few things left to say at that point. Though before he could wrap it up, there was one final angle he had to cover simply because he knew how the fans worked as he had been saying all along.

Michael Harris: “This brings me to one final person and one final point. Since you people are all about making sure that I’m going to lose and all about me finally giving it up. I know that because I’ve proved my point about all the others that leaves you jumping on the bandwagon of one final person.”

There was a small pause.

“That person is none other than Phoenix Winterborn. Now sure enough you guys have been a fan of the Firebird for a long time. So it makes sense for you to cheer him on in any situation but the reason why all of you will be so much more behind him now this time than any other time is because you are all hoping he turns on me. You cant stand the fact that Winterborn and I are good friends as well as tag partners. So it would make you happy to see him turn but let me explain something to you boys and girls that wont ever happen. And here’s why… We’re past all the problems from the past. We’re grown men and we don’t let petty shit come between us. Now I understand that there’s a chance he may enter this match. Does this bother me? No. Does this change my decision to team with him earlier on in the night for the Tag Titles? Of course not. But Winterborn and I have also come to the realization that if we’re both in this match. It’s every man for themselves.”

He kind of slowly nodded his head.

“We’ve both also have both admit we have no problem going through one another to become World Champion and honestly that’s the way it should be when it comes to the richest prize in the game. Sure you might see us teaming up to take out other members in the match to make it come down to just us or you might even see us just gun for each other as soon as the bell rings. You never know when it comes to us but you will no the outcome if comes down to just us or if one of us eliminates the other. It wont be Winterborn winning or coming out on top.”

He paused again with his eyes sort of narrowing and looking at the cameras. It’s like he was becoming a little more serious than normal.

“In all the years we’ve faced each other. I’ve always been the one to come out on top. I came out on top when Winterborn and I faced off for the UPW Legend’s Championship. I came out on top when Winterborn and I faced off for the WWER World Championship. I’ve come out on top when we faced off for the SWA World Championship. And any time we had a match that didn’t deal with a championship I came out on top. Now this isn’t a stab at Winterborn so don’t you people go and twist it. Nor do you need to take offense to it Phoenix. I’m just giving the facts, I’ve proven on countless occasions I’m the better one out of the two of us. Sure Winterborn is better now than what he was but I don’t believe its enough to beat me. He knows better than anyone when I’m focused on winning. There’s no stopping me and this time will be no different. I have nothing but respect for my friend and partner but that doesn’t mean I wont have a problem going through him for the belt as stated before. However because I do have respect for Winterborn. Should he chose to enter this match, I say this… best of luck and best believe the better man will walk out with the win and the right to call themselves the first ever DWA World Heavyweight Champion!”

The expression on his face kind of went back to the laid back arrogant style rather than the serious style. Though his serious style was needed that time around. He wanted his partner to know if both of them were in the match together that it wouldn’t be about friendships or partnerships. It would be about business and business only. He also wanted to get the point across to the fans that their little wish wouldn’t be happening and that they officially had nothing else to go on. He proved with just words that there wasn’t anyone on the company at this very moment that could stop him. With that being said there was only one thing left to do and that’s to wrap it up for the day. There wasn’t a whole lot to say now, that was until people started showing interest in the match. He looked at the cameras with an arrogant smirk on his lips and began speaking his final words.

Michael Harris: “And like that all your hopes, wishes, and dreams come crashing down right before your very eyes. Best part being there’s nothing you can do about it. Sure enough I know your not going to take anything that I said here today into consideration. Hell chances are you wont even take what I said today seriously. Though I know with what I said and how I acted got under your skin despite how much you want to admit it folks. However seeing as you guys aren’t going to believe what I said. There’s only one thing left to do. On the night of Start the Destruction… I’ll prove that I was right all along. I’ll run through every single person with ease that enters the match. That means I’ll make your favorites look like jokes. I’ll make those so called legends look like has-beens. And as far as those rookie go, I’ll end their careers before they ever get a chance to begin. Then when its all said and done, I’ll be the one standing in the middle of the ring my arm raised in victory as well as the DWA World Championship around my waist. It’s real simple as to why? It’s because I’m Michael Harris and I’m better than all of you. See you chumps on the thirtieth.”

And with that being said, it was the end of the promo. Harris stood there for only a mere couple of seconds looking at the cameras with that smirk for added effect before turning to his right and walking out of the cameras view leaving the cameras to focus on just the Tampa Sports Arena. The very arena in with Destruction Wrestling Association would host their first show. The very arena in which history will be made in just one night. The very arena in which many champion would be crowned. And the very arena that Harris vowed to become the first ever DWA World Champion in. If everything went according to plan and if things went in the favor of Harris. Then there was no denying that DWA would have one hell of a run and would become the elite in pro wrestling. Though it would be only a matter of time till everyone got to witness how it would all play out in the end.
